DETAILS OF EX-GRATIA AND OTHER BENEFITS GRANTED BY STATE/ UT GOVERNMENTS TO NOK OF CAPFs/ AR PERSONNEL KILLED IN ACTION/ DISABLED WHILE ON DUTY-

i)  ARUNACHAL PRADESH: - Applicable to NOK of CAPFs / Armed Forces of the Union of India for performing duties in Arunachal Pradesh or at the request of State Govt. who got killed / permanently disabled or grievously / seriously injured in an encounter with militants/ CI Ops within the State of Arunachal Pradesh or while performing Law & Order duties at the request of the State Govt.

ii)  ASSAM:- Applicable to the NOK of State Government employees, Home Guards, personnel of Army and Central Para Military Forces(CPMF) being engaged in CI operations in the State.

iii) ANDHRA PRADESH:- (if killed in action in State).

a) Rs 10 Lakh for Inspectors & above rank.

b) Rs 7.5 Lakh for Constables.

iv) BIHAR:- Applicable to the NOK of CAPFs personnel killed in action/Anti-Naxal attack and belonging to Bihar while performing duties in Bihar or other states and also to personnel belonging to other states performing duties in Bihar.

b) Rs 2 Lakh (Killed in action but not belonging to the State.

vii) DELHI:-  Applicable for  Defence & Para Military personnel dying in operation/ war, if his permanent address is recorded at the time of joining the service in Delhi.

  • Para-Military force personnel working under the Govt. of Delhi/ Delhi Police dying in discharge of bonafide official duty.

  • Total Ex-Gratia amount will be Rs. 1 Crore. Rs. 50 Lakh will be paid immediately to the next of kin and Rs. 50 Lakhs will be kept in a deposit scheme which will be released to the next of kin at the end of 10 years. Interest earnings will be given to the next of kin under a scheme whose modalities shall be notified by the Government. Employment will also be offered to the next of kin as per his educational qualifications in Group-C or Group-D post under the Government of Delhi provided the employment has not been offered by the Defence/ Police organization concerned.

viii)  GUJARAT:- (If killed in action in State or not belonging to the State)

  • Applicable to the family members of the Central Para Military Forces who die in harness or are disabled in the performance of their bona fide official duties while serving in an operational area in war or under terrorist/ militant attack.

xiii)   JAMMU & KASHMIR:-

  • Applicable to persons who are killed or are disabled in or inconsequence of, due performance of official duties.
  • Ex-Gratia relief shall be sanctioned by the Government in the Home Department.
  • Payment to the beneficiary shall be made through the Commandant of the local formation of the concerned Para-Military forces.
  • Ex-gratia relief shall also be payable to the next of kins of those Para-Military Forces personnel who get killed within the territorial jurisdiction of the State of J & K in militancy-related incidents while on leave/ or inter-station movement during leave at the same rates as are applicable to those killed during duty Ex-gratia rates are as under:-

Note :-  Punjab Govt. gives immediate relief of Rs 5 lac  during the Bhog/Chautha Ceremony and a balance of Rs 95 lac is given on receipts of Battle Casualty Certificate.

xxiii) RAJASTHAN:- (for state subject killed in action)

  • To wife : 5 lakh (or) 1 Lakh + 25 Bigha land (or) 1 Lakh + MIG Housing Board House costing Rs. 4 Lakh (or) deduction of Rs. 4 lakh from the act

  • To parents: 1.5 Lakh deposited in Monthly Income Scheme under Small Saving     Scheme.
  • Employment: For wife (or) son (or) unmarried daughter.
  • Education.
  • Free education in State Govt. School/College/Technical / Medical & Engineering.
  • Rs. 1,800/- scholarship will be given to school-going children and Rs: 3,600/- to College/Medical/Engineering and Technical college students.
  • Out of turn electric connection or irrigation.
  • RSRTC bus passes for wife and depended child.

 

xxiv) TAMIL NADU:- (killed in action state subject or nonstate subject within state).

xxv) TELANGANA:- Applicable for the personnel who died/ permanently incapacitated/ grievous hurt extremist/ terrorist violence. The rates of Ex-gratia are as under:-

  • Personnel of CAPFs killed in action while on deployment within the state will be given ex gratia in such a way that the total benefit received from both the central government and associated agencies and state government does not exceed such a relief provided by the state government. Besides the ex gratia, the CAPF personnel who are deployed in the State, are also covered under Group Personnel Accident Insurance Policy and the personnel will be paid an Insurance amount of Rs. 5,00,000/- (irrespective of rank) in case of any accidental death.

xxvi) TRIPURA:- (state subject killed in action in State/outside State or nonstate subject killed in action within State)

xxvii) UTTAR  PRADESH :- Uttar Pradesh State Government & Uttar Pradesh Police and Armed Forces Sahayata Sansthan(UPPAFSS) has announced the following benefits to NOKs and wards of CAPFs personnel who were killed/declared permanently disabled in active duty during operational campaigns operated by Central Govt./ State Govt. and having domicile of Uttar Pradesh State.

 a) GRANT FROM UTTAR PRADESH POLICE & ARMED FORCES SAHAYATA SANSTHAN (UPPAFSS)

  • EX-GRATIA AND ASSISTANCE FOR GIRL’S MARRIAGE: Secretary Finance and Secretary, UPPAFSS vide their letter dated-17.10.18 has revised financial assistance ( Ex-Gratia) and assistance for girl’s marriage of CAPFs personnel w.e.f. 04.10.2018, who were killed/declared permanently disabled in active duty. Details of revised amount are as under:

  • The application will have to be sent to Grievance & Welfare Branch, Dte Gen along with all the documents by the last Unit of the deceased personnel by the month of September.
